To speak about sports and healthy lifestyle, you need the appropriate vocabulary. Part 1
Attract attention - to make someone notice you;
Amateur - taking part in an activity for pleasure, not as a job;
Develop - to (cause something to) grow or change into a more advanced, larger, or stronger form;
Tournament - a competition for teams or single players in which a series of games is played, and the winners of each game play against each other until only one winner is left;
Extremely - very;
Race - a competition in which all the competitors try to be the fastest and to finish first;
Event - anything that happens, especially something important or unusual;
Rowing - the activity of making a boat move through water using oars (= poles with flat ends);
Devote - to give your time or effort completely to something you believe in or to a person, or to use a particular; amount of time or energy doing something;
Essential - necessary or needed;
Derive - to get something from something else;
Bat - a specially shaped piece of wood used for hitting the ball in some games;
Exist - to be, or to be real.
Examples.
