Mother's Birthday
My name is Vicky. Last Sunday was a special day for our family. It was our mother's birthday. Her name is Nancy. She got so many presents from the family and her friends. My father gave her a pink silk scarf. My mum really liked it because pink is her favourite colour. As for me, I didn’t buy anything. I used colour paper to make flowers for her. I worked very hard and my mum was surprised to receive a bunch of paper flowers from me. And my younger sister Kate surprised her, too. Kate goes to a music school. There she learnt a song and sang it at the party. Our mother liked the song very much. So did all the guests.
Everybody enjoyed the party. We played games, danced a lot, told funny stories. And the food was delicious. My mum made my favourite banana cake. At the end of the party everybody felt tired but happy. We took a lot of pictures and I want to make an album to remember that special day.
